Call for statements of interest in joining the National Awarding Committee for the European Certificate in Psychology

The British Psychological Society (BPS, the UK national awarding body for the European Certificate in Psychology (EuroPsy) is calling for Statements of interest in joining the National Awarding Committee for the European Certificate in Psychology (EuroPsy).

EuroPsy is awarded under the auspices of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA) and is open to qualified psychologists who can demonstrate that they have achieved national recognition, either by completing an accredited professional curriculum or by demonstrating the requisite period of successful practice.

The responsibility for considering individual applications for EuroPsy and for steering the development of the award in each country rests with a National Awarding Committee (NAC). Appointments to each NAC are the responsibility of the EFPA-affiliated national member association in the awarding country. The Society’s NAC was established almost a year ago and they are looking to recruit new members. Europsy is intended to be fully inclusive of all practising psychologists, whether or not they are members of the national member association and this is reflected in the fact that recruitment to the NAC is not restricted to Society members.

Any interested UKSBM member should contact the UKSBM general secretary.
