A society needs people and people need to interact and we are hoping to do just that on January 13th and 14th 2021 at the UKSBM Annual Scientific Meeting. The venue is virtual using the events-air platform by our conference organisers KC Jones. We are in the final stages of confirming keynote speakers, research awards, special interest group meetings, early-career and mid-career researcher sessions, and dates for abstract submissions. We have one theme .. that of behavioural medicine including theory, methodology, practice and policy. We want to give as many members as possible the chance to share their work and join in discussion. Our field of vision has widened as we assess response to the behavioural rules for limiting spread of covid-19, but the meeting will cover all settings relating to our understanding of behavioural change.

Please take the chance to submit an abstract of your work. We would like to include as many submissions as we can from researchers at all career stages. It might be a while before we can shake hands again, but let’s make sure we don’t forget each other’s faces and voices, wisdom and wit. If your research is on hold, please feel welcome to contribute through comments and debate or just use the opportunity to stimulate thoughts about new research avenues. It is unlikely we will ever have such a low cost meeting again so please, please come and join us to keep behavioural medicine alive and kicking in the UK.
