Applications are invited for a Researcher to work with a team led by Professor Susan Jebb on the LEAP (Livestock, Environment and People) research programme,
The successful applicant will contribute to a work package on behavioural interventions to reduce meat consumption (e.g. environmental impact labelling, increasing the range of vegetarian options). This could involve a range of study designs, for example, systematic reviews, experimental studies (e.g. using our experimental online supermarket platform) and field studies. You will work with colleagues to develop research ideas and conduct new studies, taking the lead in planning and executing the work. You will also disseminate the outcomes to academic audiences and other stakeholders including industry and policymakers.
You will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in applied nutrition or behavioural sciences, and possess specialist knowledge within the research area. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience of writing for publication, as well as communicating with both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
You will be based in the Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG
The position is funded by Wellcome Trust until October 2023 in the first instance.
