The Health and Behavior International Collaborative (HBIC) Award is jointly sponsored by the International Society of Behavioral Medicine (ISBM), the Society for Health Psychology of the American Psychological Association (SfHP), the American Psychosomatic Society (APS), the Society of Behavioral Medicine, USA (SBM), the German Society for Behavioral Medicine and Behavioral Modification (DGVM, or Deutsche Gesellschaft für Verhaltensmedizin and Verhaltensmodifikation), and the International Behavioural Trials Network (IBTN).
The award aims to facilitate a mentorship collaboration with an international laboratory or research group under the guidance of an identified international mentor. UKSBM members are eligible to apply. The award runs annually with a deadline for application around March. Applications require a well-thought out proposal and approval from the host organisation. Starting to think up a plan and approaching potential international collaborators now, will help build a strong proposal.
