Research Associate – Part time
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to a programme of complex intervention research led by Professor Sharon Simpson.
You will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications as well as help manage and direct complex projects within the “Complexity in Health Programme” of the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit (SPHSU). The project that you will be mainly working on is the ASSIST Global trial.
This trial is testing the feasibility and acceptability of a smoking prevention intervention for young people in three countries – China, Indonesia and the Philippines.
We welcome applications from candidates with theoretical and practical knowledge related to developing and evaluating complex interventions.
Candidates should be qualified to Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or alternatively possess the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, with experience of personal development in a similar or related role(s).
This position is fixed term for 19 months, with a proposed start date of 2 October 2023. It is part time, 24.5 hours per week – work pattern to be discussed at interview.
