Older Adult Special Interest Group

Focus and purpose
To provide a forum for exchanging ideas, and sharing knowledge and skills between those interested in applying behavioural medicine to the fields of:
- Healthy ageing and frailty
- Health behaviours among older adults
By bringing together researchers, clinicians, third sector organisations and public/patient representatives, the special interest group aims to enhance networks and collaborations to accelerate progress improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes for older adults.
Planned activities and Events
- Holding conference symposia, webinars, and meetings to raise the profile of relevant work among behavioural science and older adult research communities
- Supporting the UKSBM mentoring scheme and older adult related early-career fellowship applications
- Disseminating relevant topic updates and information to members.
