We have the following roles currently open on the MCN committee:

Chair: The Chair is responsible for identifying, prioritising and co-ordinating MCN activities; attending UKSBM exec committee meetings; organising and chairing MCN meetings.

Deputy Chair: The Deputy Chair is deputising for and assisting the chair in all activities, including prioritising/ co-ordinating MCN activities, attending UKSBM exec committee meetings, organising/ chairing MCN meetings.

Events Officer:  The Events Officer is working with all members of the committee, but predominantly with the training officer, to bring together a programme of events for members. This includes: identifying speakers/contributors and organising their involvement, setting up ticketing via Eventbrite, creating material to advertise event (i.e., event descriptors for Eventbrite, newsletter, Twitter).

Training Officer:  The Training Officer is organising training webinars for the MCN based on priorities set by members, in addition to generally contributing to MCN events. Tasks include: contacting guests speakers to invite them to deliver talks for the webinars, arranging dates and times for these to take place, liaising with the events officer to advertise these events, hosting the webinars or arranging a host.

Liaison Officer: The Liaison Officer builds relationships with organisations, institutions and professional bodies whose research and professional interests align with those of UKSBM. To explore opportunities for shared learning and collaboration with members of UKSBM mid-career network.

Communications Officer: The Communications Officer is managing the outward facing profile of the network; leading on the social media profile of the network; leading on newsletter items of the network; and advertising and publicising events and activities of the network.

All committee members are expected to attend at least 4 meetings per year and make efforts to contribute to and engage with activities, acknowledging the diversity in our membership who have different responsibilities, needs and workloads.
